• Notes

  I have always heard Ronualde or seen his name this way, but Phillipe's marriage record says Remerl and has the same for his middle name. LDDM says his name was in fact Romaulde. I think I believe the marriage records, though. There seems to be some confusion as to the two wives of Romaulde Doucet. The LDDM says his first wife, and the mother of all of his children was Helene LeBlanc and his second wife was Bridget Roger. However, they give a marriage date of 23 Feb 1870 for the second marriage. Five children were born by the time of the second marriage and 9 additional after the date of the second marriage.
