• Notes

  One might suspect that Rachel Caits died not long after Henry Vincentdied. In 1850, her son, Adolphus, was living with M.T. Cooper and hiswife Sarah, half-brother of Adophus. INVENTORY: There is an inventory and sale for Joshua Cates, 22 Dec1838 in Rutherford Co., TN. Included in the inventory is one note onHenry Vinson for $81.50 due 25 Dec 1838, considered good. Totaladministration was $28676.25, including 4 negroes. Inventory wassigned John Cates, Henry Vinson, administrators. From this, I wouldsuppose that John Cates is brother to Rachel and Joshua might be herfather.
