Based on the Uriah Allison / Nancy Cox book, it would be worthwhile to look closely at the Robert Allison facts, to separate out which are this Robert Allison, and which might be one of the other *three* Robert Allisons in the same place and time.
SDAR-PATRIOT: Pvt, TN
Ordered that Robert ALLISON be overseer of the Public Road from PRIGMOORES Ferry to Muddy Creek & that Isham COX esquire Appoint the hands to work thereon. - Roane Co., Tennessee Road Orders
Some sources claim his birth and death as 1750 in Chester Co., NC and 1820 in Greene Co., TN. But better documented sources show otherwise.
Robert fought in the Revolution and was in the battle of King's Mountain.
It appears that there are two different Robert Allisons in the Greene County / Roane County area of Tennessee after the Revolution. One Robert appears to be older than this one, but it's not really easy to separate them.

NOTE: The above two deeds recorded from Washington Co and Greene Co NC date from the time before the establishment of Tennessee. Hence, their being located in NC. Moreover, there has been some controversy over the identity of Alexander / William Moore. I believe that the fact that two deeds registered on the same day showing different names for William and Alexander show that these two are different people.,probably brother rather than father and son, as some have suggested.

Notes:
Uriah Allison served as a bondsman in 1820, Roane Co, Tennessee for William P. Smith. Could be that Uriah Allison Council was named for Uriah Allison, brother of Susan Allison.
In Nov. 1820, Uriah ALLISON of Roane County bought at the Hiwassee Land sale, eight tracts of land in the Hiwassee District. The acres given are 381, 13, 60, 160, 106, 120, 116 and (blank). A certain RILEY LOONEY, a Cherokee Indian, claimed most of the land for a reservation under the treaties made by the U.S. with the Cherokees in 1817 and 1819 commonly called Jackson's and Calhoun's Treaties. Uriah ALLISON swore to his statements 14 Sep 1826. In the decree, dated June 1829, the death of Uriah ALLISON being suggested the cause was abated. Misc:
Looney Riley, a member of the Cherokee nation, challenged Uriah Allison's right to the land purchased in 1820, claiming that it was his under treaties of 1815 and 1817. Ultimately, Riley sued and failed to win in county court. Uriah appealed to the Chancery court, bringing the treasurer of East Tennessee in as a defendant since he was trying to eject Uriah. Uriah died before the case was settled, so it was closed.

Obituary:
Allison, Uriah S (Col.)Died at his residence in Roane County, Tenn., on the 18th inst., Col. Uriah S. Allison, in the 47th year of his age, formerly of the 24th US Army; a man whose character as a patriot, a citizen, and a soldier, needs no eulogium. He was a native of Roane County in this state, entered the Army in 1812 as a lieutenant and was promoted to captaincy He remained in the Army during the war; and besides performing other important services, recruited at different periods, and marched to the Canadian frontier, two companies of troops from his native state. As an officer, he was loved and respected by his companions in arms, and as a disciplinarian, he may have had equals, but no superior. After the conclusion of the war he resigned his commission; military inactivity did not comfort with either his disposition or his genius, and he returned to the circle of friends. His remains were interred at the Presbyterian Church in Kingston on the 19th at 12 o'clock, accompanied by his relatives and a numerous concourse of friends. He has left a wife and three female children. Susan is sometimes seen as Susannah as well.
Some have suggested she was from Greene Co., Tennessee, but in the 1860 census, her birthplace is reported as N. Carolina. However, at the time of her birth, Green County, Tennessee was actually part of North Carolina, Tennessee not having been yet established.

Notes:
Mary is a bit of a mystery. She does not appear with George in the census in 1850, 1860, or 1870. FindaGrave says she died in 1880, not 1864. But, in 1860 and 1870, George is alone in the family of Mary's siblings. Did she die very early, earlier than believed? Did she run off? Was she in the mental hospital? Or what?
But in the 1840 census, there are young children and a woman aged 20-30 in the household. I suspect this is her.
Birth:
The 1840 census shows a woman aged 20-30 in the home. If she is about 30, this could well be Mary.Mary married George Washington Rigney on 2 Aug 1827 in Knox, Tennessee, United States. George was born about 1800; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:
Some accounts say he was born in Greene Co., TN, others in Knox Co.TN.
PARENTS: could have been from TN or AL
Census says he was from TN, Sarah Council's death certificate says he was from Alabama.
It appears that Uriah died fairly early, leaving a wife with children. They then moved with his parents on to Arkansas. Based on the fact that Uriah's father is in Knox Co. in 1811, I might expect to find his birth there, or in Roane County where his parents were married.
DEED: Uriah Allison Council (U.A. Council) bought land in Roane Co.,Tennessee. Deed is in Book G, p. 47.
Based on the childrens' ages, it looks like they moved from Tennessee to Alabama between 1835 & 1837. Sarah Louise was born in AL, but her older sisters were born in TN.
Birth:
Findagrave says he was born in Knox Co., Tennessee. I tend to believe this since his family lived in Knox at this point. Some the old books say Greene, but that has to be wrong.

1 white male 20-30
1 white female 20-30
1 slave female 24-35

Residence:
Based on the dates and places of birth of the children in the 1850 census, we can deduce that they moved to Arkansas after William was born, but before Susan, so between 1841-1843.
Census:
appears in the Slave Schedule with 1 male, mulatto slave, aged 20
Census:
Also listed in the house in 1860 is Henry Rigney, age 3. It seems likely that Henry is the grandson (or maybe even son) of George Rigney and Mary Council.
Census:
Henry Rigney is still living in the household in the 1870 census.
Interestingly, John M. Council has $9000 real estate in 1870 and $1500 personal estate. That's a lot for reconstruction Arkansas.
