• Notes

  I don't find Rachel in the 1840 Census, at least not with a simple search. There is a Rachel Council in Marion Co, TN in 1850. There is a will for Benjamin Howard in Wilkes Co NC (WB 4, p 119) that has bequests to Rachel Council and Sarah Council. Did another of Hodges brothers marry a Howard?
