    • Brought to Clinton Jail, on the 30th January last, a negro fellow, who calls his name Jerry, about 28 or 30 years of age, dark complexion. His back appears to be considerably, and has the appearance of being severely paddled, a well set fellow. He says that he belongs to Polly Thompkins, of Williamsburg, Virginia. And on the 19th February, 1828, an African Negro fellow, of a dark complexion, who calls himself Sam, about 28 or 30 years of age, speaks good English, two of his fore teeth out.
