      Mildred Mae Lampe, 77, of Fort Smith died April 11, 2009, in Fort Smith. She was a retired employee of Fort Smith Public School System and Desoto Furniture Company. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 208. Mildred will be remembered for her thoughtfulness to others and caring spirit.She is survived by two sons, Darrell Patrom and his wife Liz of Fort Smith and Melvin Hocking and his wife Bonnie of Mart, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Cole and her husband Ron of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Sue Tuck of Van Buren and Alivern McDonald of Van Buren; two brothers, Alvin Hunter of Fort Smith and Leonard Hunter of Muldrow; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lampe. Rosary will be said on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 6 p.m. in the Fentress Mortuary Chapel and Mass will be said on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church and burial will follow at the U.S. National Cemetery, all under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark Steele, Joseph Hatfield, Jerry Patrom, Jerry Hocking, Tim Lavinder, James Lavinder, Nathan Moore and Michael Hugo. Memorials may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 208, 3321 S. 66th St., Fort Smith, AR 72903. There will be a reception following services at the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
