The Compiled Birth, Marriage, and Death transcription lists him as Job. I suspect that is a transcription error.

Notes - He was an ironworker, a gunsmith by trade. In early life he shipped on a whaling vessel and was wrecked on the Sandwich Islands, where his skill in ironwork saved his life. But he was guarded whenever a vessel was in port so that he could not escape for quite a length of time. He at length succeeded
in getting away and returning home. The time and place of his death are not known to his descendants.
