  	This deed shows William H Bailey and Mary his wife selling land that adjoins Shipwith, who later own sues Peter Bailey. However, it lists William as residing in Charlotte Co. Perhaps he moved there for a time after his marriage. In this case, he sells a plot of 32 acres on Little Bluestone Creek for $500. This seems a very high price for this land.

• Notes

  While there is a citation that William H Bailey died in 1835, I find a William H Bailey in the 1840 and 1841 Crawford County tax lists with fairly large land holdings. Additionally, I find marriage records in 1820 for William, indicating that he was born earlier than 1806. There is a William Bailey in the 1830 census, but he is in the other end of the county and none of the ages of the people in the family match up. There is also a page missing in the filming of the census right in the space where Peter C and William H would have been. Their neighbors are on the immediately preceding and following pages.
