Robin Wren Bowden, 59, died on June 25, 2017. She was born on March 31, 1958, in Cheverly, Maryland, the second daughter of Alonzo and Betty Wren.
Along with her siblings, Lisa, Scott, and Kelly, Robin grew up in Ft. Washington, Maryland. She loved swimming from an early age and was known to be vivacious and social.
Robin loved two things more than anything else in this world: her family and the beach. The beach was her "happy place."
After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2015, those two things became even more important to her. Robin promised to fighta�" for herself and for her family. She spent an unforgettable summer at the beach surrounded by family and friends. She checked items off of her bucket lista�" she paddleboarded, went up in a hot air balloon in California, and watched her favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs, from the sidelines of Arrowhead Stadium. She always put others before herself and that continued even in her last days. She fought hard until the very end.
Robin was predeceased by her father, Alonzo. She is survived by mother Betty; siblings, Lisa (August), Scott (Cindy),and Kelly; daughter Kerry; and granddoggie, Minnie. She also leaves behind a nephew, nieces, great-nieces, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 11 at 11 am at St. John’s Episcopal Church Broadcreek, 9801 Livingston Rd, Ft. Washington MD 20744.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or Gilchrist Hospice Care.
