  Notes from Ellie Friesen: Etta and her sister, Melinda, were married on the same day by the same minister. Etta attended the Methodist church. According to Dorothy M Eadlin (Grace Freeman Dollarhide's daughter) "Etta went to a trunk and took out some pills. She told Edward (three year old son) she would fall asleep after taking the pills and that he should go to the neighbors (Ginns or Gerins) and tell them that she was asleep. Will was logging." When the neighbors got there, Etta was dead. My grandfather, mother, and Edward then moved into the home of my grandmother. Etta may be buried in Redland. Only one gravestone that says "Freeman" and that could be Rufus (her first son) or her husband Will.
