Nancy Matilda Almand Dempsey was born in Georgia (not MS) married October 7, 1857 (This is in their family Bible.....but no place stated Bible owned by Joan Dempsey Cartwright) Henry Levi Dempsey born Georgia (not MS) Nancy's maternal grandfather: Dr. James Henry born March 5, 1791 SC died June 3, 1862 buried Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Kosciusko, Attala Co MS Married: (1) Nancy Houston (third cousin to General Samuel Houston of Texas fame)Jan. 6, 1814 SC died ??? (2) Sarah West - May 11, 1828 Henry Co GA (Recorded in Henry Co GA Marriages page 653) died ???? (3) Elizabeth A. Mitchell - Dec 2, 1838 Newton Co GA (I have marriage license) After Dr. Henry died - she married (2) Willoughby Hilliard (Hal) Brunt August / September 1886 Her death is recorded in Judge Jason Niles Diary: "Mrs. "Dawk" Henry Brunt died 28 November 1886."
