His second wife was Mary Ellen White Flowers. They were the parents of Mary Celia Flowers and Andrew Clyde Flowers, as of the 1900 census of Grayson County, Texas. He was listed as a widower in the 1910 census of Wilbarger County, Texas. Brother of Thomas K. Flowers, as listed in the 1850 census of Sanders, Rutherford County, Tennessee. His death certificate shows burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery which is where his brother is buried. -- It seems that there may have been a couple of A.J. Flowers both in TN and in this area.
