BIRTH: Could be 19 Apr rather than 9. 1880 census shows Wells Evans, nephew, age 18, living with Michael and Mary Elizabeth. He was the son of Catherine Elizabeth Wells and Jesse Evans, both deceased by this time. 1910 Texas census places this family in Cherokee County, p25A/285. In Civil War, he served with Capt. Isaac Dansby's Co. G, 18th Tx Volunteer Infantry, enlisted 1864 and served 13 months. Marriage date may be April 19, 1869. Anc.
