  FRom Findagrave: Marion Albert Townsend was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin L.C. Townsend. Marion Albert Townsend married Ida Florence Ward on 03 AUG 1884 in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas. They were the parents of at least 2 children: 1) John Earl Townsend, husband of Vernia "Verna" Thelma Scott. 2) Ola Mae Townsend, wife of Robert "Marvin" Scott. Note: Two Townsend siblings married two Scott siblings. -- His first wife died in 1918 and he married Lizzie Hughes in 1919. In the 1920 Census, his second wife, Lizzie Hughes is enumerated as Lizzie Townsend and is listed as a widow. It appears that this marriage was very short-lived since she married again shortly afterward.
