| Alfred and Nancy are recorded as Alfred and Nancy Huckleberry Strangely, Alfred & Nancy are enumerated twice on the same day twice on the same page. It almost looks like the first on was scratched out and recrded a second time. In the second instance, there is a mary Gray in the house with a daughter Etta E Gray and maybe another sister Jane Gray. Next door is an Andrew Gray that does not necessarily fit into that family. | Huckaby, Alfred (I3706)
| Alfred claims to be 55 years old, when he's more like 60. | Family: Alfred Huckaby / Sarah A. (F3675)
| Alfred Huckaby may have sold all of his property by 1886. His second wife had her estate in probate with no mention at all of him in any way. That indicated that he must have pre-deceased her. But, to date, no record of his death has been found. There is a grave stone in Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas for an A. Huckaby, b 1822, d 1898. But there are also many Huckaby families in Washington County. This is 100 miles away with no good reason for this to be his grave. Moreover, there is a short obituary that says he wife had recently died. Alfred's wife died in 1888, ten years previous. I can find no reason to believe the Springdale grave is his. | Huckaby, Alfred (I3706)
| Alfred purchased land in Tuscaloosa county in 1848. 1 SENW ST STEPHENS No 24N 5E 2, 40.9675 acres Document number 23886 | Sartain, Alfred M. (I5458)

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Wren Brochu; three sons, Alfred Robert Brochu Jr. of Virginia Beach, John Russell Brochu of Lake of the Woods and William Townsend Brochu of Springfield; three daughters, Nancy Brochu Domedion of Herndon, Robin G. 596 | Alfred seems awfully old so I am somewhat skeptical of his birth date. This must have been a second marriage for him since he was nearly 50when he married. Also, he continues to father children until he isnearly 70. | Daniel, Alfred (I2324)
| Alfred's farm is small in 1850 - 2 cows, 7 pigs, total value of $35. The line immediately above is Jacob Sartain. | Sartain, Alfred M. (I5458)
| Alice was beaten to death by her husband, Jack. He was arrested and found guilty, but I have not found a sentence for the case. | Ritchie, Alice Morrison (I9424)
| All of her estate is given to her adopted daughter Mary. Since there is no mention of Alfred, he may have already died. | Sarah A. (I9622)
| All of the children are listed as born in Miss. So, it kind of looks like they moved to Miss and back to AR. Then, possibly, they moved back to MS since he is buried in MS. He is next door to his brother Ira Alonzo | Huckaby, Fernando Cortes (I3708)
