| There is a death record in 1845 for a Benjamin Peterson, age 8, listed as son of Franklin. Another record says he could be the son of Washington. But, since this Benjamin appears in the same family as Franklin and the rest of the family in 1855, I really do not believe the 1845 Benjamin is this one. | Peterson, Benjamin F. (I7045)
| There is a deed from Moses Nelson to John & Micajah Hollis in 1811. Seems more likely that this is the two brothers than the father and the son. Index to Deeds, 1804-1840 Moses Nelson to John & M Hollis, Book H, p. 148 | Hollis, John (I3640)
| There is a findagrave memorial for Monroe Hughes in the Ellsworth Cemetery. There is no death date indicated. The census shows that he was an invalid, so he may have died relatively young with no family FINDAGRAVE: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/63041176/monroe_hughes | Hughes, Monroe (I10278)
| There is a George Rigney in the 1850 census of Blount County, Alabama, but by then, Mary is not in the home, nor is any wife. In 1870, it appears that George is again alone in the household of a Francis & Rebecca Bryant, a young couple. I would suspect he is a lodger rather than a family member. | Rigney, George Washington (I5329)
| There is a granddaughter, Nell Green (?) listed in the 1930 census in this house. I cannot tell yet which daughter she belongs to. | Hudson, Charles David (I3729)
| There is a James Biggers enumerated in the 1850 US Census in York County, SC that could be this person. It calls into question his birthplace, however. There is a young Elisha Robinson in the household, who could be a stepson or nephew or something like that. | Biggers, James (I914)
| There is a Lydia Thayer listed in the 1850 census of mortality schedule in Randolph, Mass. This is not her. Appears to be married to a Joel. In the East Bridgewater death register, Lydia is listed with parents unknown. There is also a probate record for Lydia Brown, d. 7 Sep 1858 in Westford. | Brown, Lydia (I7070)
| There is a Mabel Gertrude Higgs listed in the California Death Index, born 1906 in Massachusetts, who died in 1990. There is a Gertrude Higgs in the SSDI who died in 1977. Both could be her. | Gertrude E. (I7487)
| There is a marriage in 1873, desoto marriage book f, p. 339 between E F Dixon (bride) and L P Dixon (groom). | Dickson, Frances (I2572)
| There is a marriage record for Israel Cowen and Lydia Balch for 23 Jan 1723. However, the children attributed to Israel and Lydia were born prior to that. | Cowen, Israel (I8649)
| There is a Mary C Carothers, age 14, born Alabama, listed in the house. Perhaps a granddaughter. Joseph does not appear as a slave owner in 1860 | Dickson, Joseph Jr. (I2581)
| There is a Nancy in the house that could be a granddaughter. Just Clarissa and Nancy. Appears that Robert died between 19 Jul 1867 and 19 Jul 1870. | Shehee, Clarissa H. (I5569)
| There is a note in Scituate of Sarah Cowen, d. Israel, dec'd Jan 5 1718. This is clearly not her, but could be a previous sister. It looks like there are several generations of Israel Cowen / Cowing's, maybe with daughters Sarah in Scituate. I wonder if they might be Jewish. | Cowen, Sarah (I8648)
| There is a note in the Bridgewater list of births for "Jerusha, w. Joseph Hooper, Apr 19, 1783" that is cited from a private record group. The Compiled Birth, Marriage, and Death transcription lists him as Job. I suspect that is a transcription error. | Hooper, Joseph (I7071)
| There is a Paul Reeves in the SSDI, 518-01-8759, b. 9 Jun 1897, d Apr 1980, Texarkana, TX. SSN issued in Idaho before 1951. I believe this is Paul. | Hudson, Paul Reeves (I3772)
| There is a Ralph Vickers, husband to Ann, who wrote a will in York Co, South Carolina in the right timeframe. | Vickers, Ralph (I6240)
| There is a Rowan County marriage record on 10 Jan 1791 for Mary Tranham and Jesse Rickmon. I suspect that this is the Mary named in Martin Trentham's will. This would lead me to suspect that, if John Hollis married a Mary Trantham, that she would perhaps be Martin's sister, in order to make the ages work out. | Family: John Hollis / Mary (F1107)
| There is a Solomon Bridges in the 1820 Oglethorpe County census Enumeration: 011201-31010-0-10-0-0-0000-1000 So, 3 male children, 1 male adult > 45, 4 female children, 1 adult female 26-45, and 1 young female slave. There is also a Solomon Bridges enumerated in Gwinnett County, Page 212 Enumeration: 300011-20100-0-1-0-0, no slaves. Since this Bridges family stayed pretty well rooted in Oglethorpe, I believe this Gwinnett Solomon is not ours. | Bridges, Solomon (I1224)
| There is a will in Union County Will Book B for John Foster, married to Hannah. I believe that this is that John Foster. | Foster, John (I2968)
| There is also a marriage for William and Martha recorded 4 May 1843 inOglethorpe Co, Georgia. In this record, he is listed as William B.(Robert Hale) | Family: William David Almand / Martha A. J. Curtis (F1020)
| There is an E E Linch, age 20, male in this house. Looks like Rhoda's brother. | Lynch, Rhoda A. E. (I4370)
| There is an E.W. Dickson listed in the 1880 census, Coldwater, Tate Co., Mississippi, listed as Mother in Law of J.F. Pardue and wife L.A. Pardue. David & Eliza have a daughter Lucy Ann. The next house down is Bob Blackburn. There is a will for a John Dixon in 1900 that lists Bob Blackburn as his father in law. I am not sure who this John Dickson is, unless he is the John Dickson that I have called mine. | Johnson, Eliza W. (I3954)
| There is an Ira T. Higgs listed in the 1909 City directory for Kansas City, Missouri. He is listed as a salesman for Schrader & Toller. This would be in between Ira's two terms as coroner for Crawford County. I am not sure that this is really our Ira, but Ira T. Higgs is a fairly uncommon name. Moreover, there are several other Higgs folks in the directory along with him. This might bear further research. | Higgs, Ira Thomas (I3529)
| There is an Isaac & Frances Padgett, ages 56 & 52, living 2 doors away. These could be Meredith's parents. | Padgett, Meredith (I7993)
| There is an obituary in the UMC COnfernece Memoirs. See https://catalog.gcah.org:8443/exist/memoirs/memoirs.xql?field1=au&term1=deshazo&op=and&field2=au&term2=&mode=all https://catalog.gcah.org:8443/exist/memoirs/memoirs.xql?query=&show-form=true | Deshazo, Larkin (I2506)
| There is conflicting information on exactly where Lot was born. Nantasket, Dorchester, and Cape Ann are all contenders. | Conant, Lot (I8753)
| There is confusion between John B. marrying Nancy and marrying Rachel Grant. It appears that Nancy is his wife by the argument presented. | Family: John B. Tennison / Nancy (F1462)
| There is no 1794 personal property tax return for Elizabeth Hill. Likewise for 1795. Therefore, none of the children appear, either. However, there is still a real estate tax being paid. One possibility is that Elizabeth has died and the boys are living with their guardians. Or they moved. Or they were missed. 1787 - personal, no real estate 1788 - personal, no real estate 1789 - personal, no real estate 1790 - personal and real estate 1791 - personal and real estate 1792 - personal and real estate 1793 - personal and real estate 1794 - no personal, paid real estate 1795 - no personal, paid real estate 1796 - no personal, paid real estate 1797 - no personal, paid real estate 1798 - no personal, paid real estate no occurrences after 1798. | Elizabeth (I9527)
| There is no other record of Naomi. She may be really Nehemiah or she may have died young. | Grover, Naomi (I9780)
| There is some doubt as to this daughter. | Cary, Hannah (I1414)
| There is some evidence that his middle name was Wesley, but his father's middle name was Walker. | Deshazo, Rev. John W. Jr. (I2503)
| There really seems to be some confusion around Daniel. The FTM user, below, shows a marraige in 1786 and another in 1790. Even assuming that all the children are from the second marriage, they show children born as late as 1827. That's an unnaturally long time for having kids. I would expect some of these later children are really grand children. If Daniel was born in 1754, he is still marrying a little late at 1790 (36) and 1786 (32). But he did serve in the Revolution beforehand, so that likely delayed marriage. Were there any children from the first marriage? An addtional question is when they arrived in Georgia and via what path? We find Daniel and his family in Washington County in 1805. Some children are given a birth place of GA, but we have yet to find any proof that they were in Georgia by then. Daniel appeared in the 1790 census in Maryland. We need to research in Maryland to see when he disappears from the records or when he appears to sell out to move. Washington County records have huge early gaps, as do many of the counties between Washington County and the Savannah River. Daniel does not appear in the statewide index of land grants. So, we need to find additional records to identify where he was between 1790 (Census in MD) and 1804 (Lottery in GA). Additionally, we need to track down the lottery grant to see if it was redeemed and what happened to it. It would have been in Baldwin, Wilkinson, or Warren county From Findagrave: Corporal Daniel Shehee's grave marker's dedication was announced in an October 30, 1915 article in the Atlanta Constitution. Born in Maryland in 1754 it is known that he served in the 11th Pa regiment during the American Revolutionary War. He is recorded as Corporal Daniel Sheahey Rev. War ID : Pa 10802, 3rd brigade, Company : Laurence Keene, 2nd Division, State : Pa. The Pa 11th regiment was led By Gen. John Patton and is known to have endured the harsh winter of 1777-1778 at Valley Forge during which time they were directly under the command of General and future President George Washington. 4833 | There was a note that says that Lillian died 14 Sep 1891, however, she is enumerated in the 1900 census. So, who is in the Harmony Cemetery and who is in the house in 1900? Need to track this down. I wish Betty were still here.. | Wren, Lillian (I6722)
| Theresa was younger than Ralph. She died of lukemia years ago. | Shiflett, Theresa (I5615)
| These dates line up with the child named Benjamin Peterson who died in 1845 and was noted as either the son of Washington or Franklin. Something doesn't quite add up here. | Peterson, Elizabeth (I8559)
| These dates possible go with this person. Dorman has some doubt. Robert served several tours in the Goochland militia during theRevolutionary War. | Pleasants, Robert (I5128)
| They are next door to Benjamin's father in 1900. Benjamin's birth date is recorded as Oct 1836, but Maria's is Oct 1843. I believe hers, but all other records point to his in June. | Peterson, Benjamin F. (I7045)
| They have been married over a year, but not yet 2 years. Elizabeth has had 1 child at the 1910 census. | Hughes, Elizabeth (I10280)
| They were married at the home of Covington Edmonson, her stepfather. | Family: Henry O. Bailey / Sarah Ann Faver (F877)
| This 80 acres (60 from James, 20 from Elisha) was part of the land left to James and Elisha by their father William. Sold for L 50 current money of Virginia. | Hill, James (I9526)
| This appears to be a case where Herod Bridges sold land to McCarroll Penifoy and then bought it back from the estate of Mc. Penifoy's father William the same day. Perhaps it was a land exchange with the estate - like for like. The descriptions of the property are similar and along the same waterway. | Bridges, Herod Flourney (I1212)
| This appears to be a discounted deal. L15 for 100 acres seems to imply a more substantial relationship. Perhaps this is somehow attached to William's illegitimate son. ... a certain parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid and situate on the waters of Pacolet River and bounding on a white oak the beginning corner and running N & W 69 35 links to a post oak thence S62 E 13 to a lightwood stake thence S 6 E 44 chains to a post oak and then straight to the beginning corner including one hundred acres ... | Hames, William (I3273)
| This appears to be George Drake, not George Drage. He is listed as widowed and age 20 at his first marriage. This implies marriages prior to Betty Clay. | Drake, George W. (I10476)
| This appears to be O.L. Bailey's home. Here, he is listed as owning 17 slaves, one of whom is a fugitive from the state. Interestingly in the population schedule, while Otway's neighbors before and after him in the slave schedule appear. But Otway does not appear among them in the population schedule. | Bailey, Otway Licepious (I8087)
| This appears to be the 2nd half of a land exchange. | Bridges, Herod Flourney (I1212)
| This appears to the the correct Sally Bailey. There must be a story here as to who raised Sally. Her mother died when she was an infant. | Family: Melchizedeck Braeme / Sally Bailey (F3650)
| This birth date came down from Aunt Lida, I believe. I suspect that it is wrong by a couple of years. | Sartain, Mary J. (I5460)
| This birth date seems awfully late to have children starting in 1796. I might expect something more like 1770. | Deshazo, Lewis (I2509)
| This birthdate appears to be wrong since he appears in the 1850 census. | Merrow, Amos W. (I4628)
| This cemetery appears to be located near where the old Bateman Mill was located off County 152 in Land Lot 77 of the 2nd District Taylor County, Ga. This is likely a later generation Daniel or just a commemorative marker. | Shehee, Daniel (I5570)
