Newton, a half brother, said that Edward had a dishonorable discharge (July 1946) from the service (Army). Edward lived in San Diego, CA in 1938. Edward left home when Newton (his half brother) was born. Edward lived in Oakland (Contra Costa Co), CA. His sons may have attended "school on the hill" in Walnut Creek. Newton says that Simon's Hardware/Lumberyard is at that location now (OCt 1998). Edward was a chef for abt 50 years. Edward may have lived at 118 1/2 East Roberts Lane, Bakersfield, CA at his death. According to his death certificate, Edward had leukemia for 6 months and sever anemia for several days prior to his death. She was retired from Gerber Foods in Fort Smith, a member of Southside Full Gospel Church in Fort Smith, and was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, James Tuck of the home; three daughters, Susan Kay Hosier of Alma, Tammy Ontman of Ozark, and Cindy Stoughton of Van Buren; a son, Dennis Tuck of Van Buren; a sister Alivern McDonald of Van Buren; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
