3801 | Of all the sailormen who navigate the waters of Vineyard sound and Nantucket shoals, no one, perhaps, is better known than Capt Parker J. Hall, the lone navigator, sole owner, captain and crew of the 92-ton two-masted schooner Angler. | Hall, Parker Jones (I8592)
3802 | Of the children listed on the 1870 Census, I suspect that the younger 4 are children of Mary E. Dixon Williams. The dates just don't jive otherwise. Likewise, Lucy Vaugh listed there would likely be the mother of Elisa. In the 1850 AL census, David Dixon had a son John who matches in age to my John H. Dickson. In 1860 in Leake Co., MS, we find him again with John 22 years old. Mary E Dickson, sister of John, moved to Tate Co, MS, to Coldwater after the war with four children and a brother William. Her husband, Lorenzo Dow Williams, was killed in a battle at Franklin, TN. All of this according to her g-grandson, Eric Williams. NOTE: Uncertain, but looks likely. Might be descended from the Dicksons of Dickson County, TN, probably through Michael Dickson. In Marengo Co., there are a lot of Dicksons already there in 1830. Likely connected - Joel, Samuel, N.F., Watson, Thomas. In Desoto / Tate county, there are a large number of Dicksons who do not appear to be connected. The History of Tate County has a submitted history of a lot of them. I am becoming less convinced that David Dickson was in Marengo County. The rest of the family was far north of that in Franklin County. Then, they all ended up back in the north Mississippi area. So, Marengo is really an outlier. | Dickson, David (I2561)

3810 | On 22 Feb 1830, Peter Bailey entered into a deed of trust, really more of an appearance bond, to make sure that he showed up at the March court to answer a "Charge of Felony". The deed does not specify the charge, only that he must appear. The cash value of the bond is $250, but he is forced to put up a lot of property. William Bailey, his son / brother (depending on which Peter this is) also puts up a mare and colt as security. In this case, Jordan Stone is Peter's security, guaranteeing his appearance. William Townes can command the sale of the property if he does not appear. Many of the Baileys, Hills, and Marshalls had land transactions, selling to William Townes. | Bailey, Peter Cock (I660)

3825 | On the birth record, it records Michael F. Boyle as the son of John & Margaret Farley, but this just appears to be the way that the clerk has recorded things rather than an indication that "John Farley" was the father. The town birth record is for 1869 rather than 1868 (as seen elsewhere). | Boyle, Michael F. (I1108)
