Later, she remarried and is survived by her husband, E. Robert Heatley. She was born on the family ranch in Stonewall, Dec. 29, 1921, the youngest of five children, to John H. McKoy and Cecilia Burris McKoy. She was a granddaughter of Colbert Ashalatubby Burris, a leader in the Chickasaw Nation. Ms. Heatley attended University High School in Norman and the University of Oklahoma, where she received her bachelor of science degree. She then attended Central State University and graduated with master's degrees in school administration and counseling and guidance. She was a teacher and counselor at John Marshall High School and later served as a vice principal in the Oklahoma City school district.Ms. Heatley was a member of many professional and service organizations, which include Chi Omega Sorority, Junior League of Oklahoma City, P.E.O. Chapter CK, Twentieth Century Club, Mayfair Dance Club, and The Thursday Book Club. She was also a member of Oklahoma City Boat Club. As a life-long Methodist, she was a member of the Nichols Hills United Methodist Church for approximately 49 years, later transferring her membership to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where she was a Stephens Minister, and was a greeter. Her parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.Survivors include her husband, E. Robert, of the home; four children from her previous marriage: Edward P. Allen III and wife Sue of Stonewall; Cecilia Gosting and husband Don Gosting of Dallas, Texas; John Raybourn Allen and wife Kathy of Russellville, Ark.; and Gerald Roger Allen and wife Cindy of Enid; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 3788	Obituary from FindaGrave: Retired obstetrician who delivered more than 10,000 OKC's babies, died unexpectedly. He began practice in OKC in 1913. He retired in April 1947, but returned the following August to head the medical staff of the Oklahoma County Health Association. He was one of OKC's first obstetricians to concentrate on hospital births with no home deliveries. "I started talking hospitals to mothers when I came back from the war in 1920." He said in 1947 at the time of his retirement. " I never refused to take cases at home," he said "I just outtalked the mothers." Dr Allen was one of the first to start pre-natal charity work at the Variety Club Health Center. Survived by his wife Myrtle, three sons Edward P Jr, Robert & Paul. 3794	Obituary: Allison, Uriah S (Col.)Died at his residence in Roane County, Tenn., on the 18th inst., Col. Uriah S. Allison, in the 47th year of his age, formerly of the 24th US Army; a man whose character as a patriot, a citizen, and a soldier, needs no eulogium.  He was a native of Roane County in this state, entered the Army in 1812 as a lieutenant and was promoted to captaincy  He remained in the Army during the war; and besides performing other important services, recruited at different periods, and marched to the Canadian frontier, two companies of troops from his native state.  As an officer, he was loved and respected by his companions in arms, and as a disciplinarian, he may have had equals, but no superior.  After the conclusion of the war he resigned his commission; military inactivity did not comfort with either his disposition or his genius, and he returned to the circle of friends.  His remains were interred at the Presbyterian Church in Kingston on the 19th at 12 o'clock, accompanied by his relatives and a numerous concourse of friends.  He has left a wife and three female children. The new husband never allowed any discussion of the previous marriage, hence information past this point is likely lost. Left home around the age of 14, since he didn't get along well with his step-father. Worked for the railroads in and around Fort Smith, AR. Drove streetcars in Fort Smith until they were discontinued. After . the streetcars shut down, he opened a shoe repair shop. Granddad worked with him in the shop for a while. ACTION: Get the address of this store from Granddad. The store is now a Harley Davidson shop. Southwest Times Record: Ex-Street Car Man Opens Shoe Repair Shop -R.H. Dickson, formerly for years a faithful street car motorman, has just opened a shoe repair shot at 19 North Ninth St, across from the Tribune. Mr. Dickson has installed machinery and equipment and is now well prepared to render good service. Robert was a motorman until the Ft. Smith streetcars shut down on November 3, 1933. After that, he opened his shoe shop. He had done some shoe repair as a young man. Once he left the street car line, a cousin George taught him what he needed to open his own shop. Shortly after opening his store downtown, a space came open at "The Junction",much nearer to the house, so he moved his store there. Granddad worked with him for several years before marrying and moving to California. Prior to working on the streetcar, Robert had worked in a steel foundry and had seriously injured his back. He and two other men were carrying a long steel beam. The man in the middle lost his grip and dropped his load. That left only Robert in the back and another man in the front. When the man in the front then lost his grip, Robert was injured, having his back muscles pretty badly torn.From then on, he was unable to do any sort of heavy lifting.
