| In his draft registration, he says he has a wife and baby, though they are not named. Listed in Daily Arkansas Gazette roster of first draftees called up. | Higgs, Ira Thomas (I3530)
| In his father's will, while bequests of ownership were made to all of the other children, none were made to Edmund. Likewise, the will said he should not be left alone. This makes me think that Edmund may have had some sort of disability. | Foster, Edmund (I9437)
| In his inventory, he is called Captain Robert Marshall. That could be a local militia captain or another military service. | Marshall, Capt. Robert (I4431)
| In his Junior year, Hudson was again in charge of publicity for Agri Days, was a part of the Arkansas Boosters Club, played football, was in the Press Club, was still in Tri Eta and Kappa Sigma and the Varsity Club. | Wren, Henry Hudson (I6703)
| In his mother's personal property tax return before 1793: does not appear 1793: > 16 | Hill, William (I9576)
| In his obituary, her father is listed as raising her children. | Garner, Bernice Estella (I3100)
| In his will, he refers to her as Mahala A. Hansen. I have not yet found a marriage record of her to Lee. Presumably, though, she was born Hansen, married Lee, and then married Faver. | Family: John Favor / Mahala Ann Hansen (F876)
| In his will, James McWhirter bequeaths $200 to his son in law William Page, but never mentions his daughter. She may have already died. The will is dated 7 May 1831 | Family: William J. Page / Catherine McWhirter (F282)
| In his will, John M. Council, left his son-in-law, W.B. Stroup a horse, the only bequest outside of his children. | Family: Dr. Walter Balfour Stroup / Martha Patton Council (F3882)
| In his will, Lewis says that the three sons, Larkin, Lewis, and Peter be sent to school for a year. Wilkins gets a horse and saddle. William gets a horse and cash. The two daughters, Nancy and Sourany(?) each get a bed. Land and slaves are all to be sold (but not separated or scattered) and divided between the children. Nancy, his wife, is never mentioned. | Deshazo, Lewis (I2509)
| In John Champion's will, it appeared to be dated 1778, but it could have been a different date. There is now way to call Elizabeth Preddy unless the will were written after 1783. Before that, she would have been Elizabeth Champion. Likewise, no previous marriage is indicated, or she would not be listed as Elizabeth Champion on this marriage record. | Family: Robert Preddy / Elizabeth Champion (F265)
| In John Faver's will he refers to her as Mahala Ann Hansen. In her marriage record to John Faver, it says Lee. I suspect she was born Hansen, married a Lee, married Faver. Then, in 1849, she married again to Covington Edmonson. In the 1850 census, she is listed as Mahala H. repeatedly, so that seems to be good evidence that she was born Hansen / Hanson. | Hansen, Mahala Ann (I4259)
| In Jun 1834, Sarah signs a deed as wife of John W. Reaves. | Family: John W. Reeves / Sarah Jane Vickers (F1348)
| In Knox County, OH, there is a Thomas M Finney who died in 1859 and left a will. Also had several deeds. married to Jane Reed Finney. Could be this person or not. In Licking County, 1850, Thomas and Jane are found with her family. Just 30 families down the line, same township, is a Walter Finney, aged 68 with a wife Jane. | Finney, Thomas (I9757)
| In Knox County, Ohio, there is a Thomas M. Finney who is married to Jane Reed Finney. Has numerous deeds and an estate probated. | Family: Thomas Finney / Jane Miller (F3729)
| In many censuses, she is listed as Helen or Helen L. | Moriarty, Lillian Helen (I4744)
| In May 1654, William is listed as "servant to Mr. Menefrey." | Carter, William (I1385)
| In May 1788, James is listed as age 16 and older. In 1787, he is not listed as age 16. So, the best we can do is to say he was born before 1772. There's no reason to know why he was not in the house in 1787. 1787: Not listed 1788: > 16 1789: > 16 1790: > 16 1791: > 16 1792: > 16 1793: > 16 | Hill, James (I9526)
| In May 2012, Inez is in poor health. | Bailey, Carol Inez (I574)
| In mw4, called Fred. | Wren, Fletcher Evans (I6687)
| In my notes, I have that she is buried at the Dryden Cemetery in Hollis, Harmon Co., Oklahoma. I think this is likely my own data entry error. Will need to check my records. From Findagrave: Eliza L Huckaby's mother was Nancy T Menifee. I know the census say Mary. Eliza had a sister Terilda who was my gg grandmother. The family names were written down in 1906 and their mother is listed as Nancy T Menifee Huckaby. ******************* Note: Originally typed 20 May 1993 by Marilyn Roberts. The cemetery is about one mile south of Hwy. 27. About 20 graves but no markers. The markers were all turned over and the cemetery was all grown up. A new stock pond had just been built when this was copied and one wonders if some of the graves were not dug up by the dozers. Eliza Lavona HUCKABY Birth: 3 Feb 1846 in Mississippi Death: 21 Aug 1924 in Arkansas Census: US Federal Census 1860 Magazine Twp, Yell Co., Arkansas Census: US Federal Census 1880 , Yell Co., Arkansas Census: US Federal Census 1900 Prairie Twp, Yell Co., Arkansas Census: US Federal Census 1910 Prairie Twp, Yell Co., Arkansas Note: PARENTS: father from SC, mother from TN | Huckaby, Eliza Lavona (I3707)
| In N4, last name is written as Fauve, but Favor is more likely. , N4, h2 | Faver, Elizabeth (I2868)
| In old group sheets, she is referred to as Mary Malissa, however the guardianship records all call her Mary Ann. | Faver, Mary Ann (I2880)
| In order for Wesley to draw in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery, he was required to be 18 years old and a resident of Georgia for at least the preceding three years. Since Wesley was a fortunate drawer in the 1827 lottery, he must have been in Georgia by 1824. Likewise, he had to be 18 years old in 1827, and therefore born by 1809. | Hudson, Wesley (I3785)
| In order to satisfy the judgment of 18 Jun 1885, the court sold lots 513, 538, 584, in the 19th district, 3rd section of Paulding County, originally in Cherokee County on the courthouse steps by public outcry on 1 Feb 1887 for $65, with $7.77 applied to costs, debts satisfied, and the balance returned to the owner. Recorded 2 Jun 1892 | Hulsey, Taylor Lee (I3806)
| In Pulaski County, there are several Lesters with the Vickers John Lester William Lester (son?) Nixon Lester (son?) | Lester, John (I4285)
| In Rowan County, North Carolina, there are other Cooper marriages around this time: Henry Cooper & Rebecca Hollis - 1794 John Cooper & Lidia Johnston - 1762 John Cooper & Sarah Riddle - 1789 David Cooper & Ann Miller - 1798 Thomas Cooper & Elizabeth Smith - 1798 Samuel Cooper & Margat McBride - 1786 Nebimiah Cooper & Susannah Michael - 1802 | Family: Henry L. Cooper / Rebecca Hollis (F262)
| In searching for James Armour, I find that there are a large number of Armour families, including a James that could fit this record, in Hall County, Georgia in 1840. This seems a place to look further. A number of family trees on Ancestry include James M. Armour. They show his first wife to be Effie Emily Sewell and that he was from Hall County, Georgia. This is definitely an area to look for the family. How did he end up in the area where Milly Allen was? Other sources show that James Armer was born in Jackson County. The mystery marriage to Effie Sewell is found in South Carolina, so I am skeptical that this is at all correct. | Armour, James M. (I488)
| In settling her father's estate, Jane is listed as Jane Matthis rather than Matthews. Likewise, while all of the other sons-in-law are listed as receiving their wife's share, Jane is listed on her own. After Zebulon's death and her father's death, did Jane remarry? Based on census records, she could have had small children, but they were not listed in the 1810 census. | Miller, Jane (I4649)
| In some records, he is listed as John A. Boyle, and in others John C. Boyle. It may be an issue of transcription. When he was married, John was listed as a bootmaker living in Randolph. | Boyle, John C. (I1099)
| In some sources, his birth is listed as 16 Jul 1914. | Wren, Fred Bates (I6690)
| In th 1860 Census, Nathan Gann is listed just a couple of pages from Robert Gann. In 1842, John, Robert, and Nathan Gann all stand for a bond for John Gann as administrator of the estate of Samuel F. Gann. A bill of sale signed by Seaborn Gann is part of the estate papers. All of this is in Cobb County. Seaborn Gann is just a few pages beyond Nathan Gann in Paulding County in 1860 as well., | Gann, Robert (I3091)
| In the 1798 tax list, the other william hill is explicitly called out as John's brother, so this William Hill could not be. | Hill, William (I9525)
| In the 1850 census, Elizabeth is listed as 4 years old instead of 1 year old. Rachel is also listed as 4 years old. Seems a typo since they were not twins. | Stevens, Elizabeth (I9764)
| In the 1850 census, enumerated with James and Libbi Page (age 33) , cut off from the bottom of the census image, but listed in the index, are John and Judith Vaughn, ages 79 and 68. These appear likely to be Elizabeth Vaughn's parents. They are listed as paupers. Perhaps John and Elizabeth are both dead. Is it the case that Libbi is Elizabeth Vaughn who married John Page? She appears far too young in this case to be the right person. Moreover, some source claims that Elizabeth died in 1846, while I find an Elizabeth Page enumerated in 1860 in Union County, but not with children that match the family she and John supposedly had. Patsy Page reports that she had 9 children, 2 of whom died as infants. On the other hand, Randolph Vaughn in Union County made a will in 1830 and named his daughter Elizabeth. He only gives a first name, so it's not clear if she is a Page or not. | Vaughn, Elizabeth (I6186)
| In the 1850 census, he is listed as a bootmaker. | Boyle, Michael (I1094)
| In the 1850 Census, Henry is listed as a farmer with $11,200 worth of real estate. Interestingly, even with this large of a land holding, I cannot find Henry in the 1850 slave schedule of the census. His neighbors are all listed but I don't see Henry. | Ware, Henry B. (I6341)
| In the 1850 Census, next door to Nellie and Charles is the family of Smith White, of the right age to be her older brother. | White, Ellen (I6467)
| In the 1850 Census, R.B. Watt is listed as owning 11 slaves. | Watt, Robert B. (I8094)
| In the 1850 census, she is listed as 32 years old. In 1860, she is 45. Her daughter's death certificate says she was from Savannah. | Everitt, Martha Ann (I2803)
| In the 1850 census, she is recorded as Elizabeth. Could be a 2nd wife that was not Myra's mother. | Dugan, Sarah Margaret (I7994)
| In the 1850 census, the family next to Lorenzo's is a J.P. Williams, age 67. Possibly his grandfather. In that family is a Dixon Williams, age 17. | Williams, Lorenzo Dow (I6527)
| In the 1850 census, there is a 42 year old head of household, Margaret Robinson. This is likely her mother. I also have seen Martha Tate Williamson as her mother. | Williamson, Margaret (I6564)
| In the 1850 Population Schedule and the Agricultural Schedule, it does not appear that Charles owns the land that he is farming. Looks like he is a tenant of someone else. The population schedule lists no real property and the agriculture schedule doesn't show acreage, only production. | Garner, Charles (I3099)
| In the 1855 census, he is listed as a bootmaker. | Boyle, Michael (I1094)
| In the 1855 census, he is listed as a bootmaker. | Boyle, Joseph A. (I7015)
| In the 1855 census, he is listed as a bootmaker. | Boyle, Francis William (I7016)
| In the 1860 census, 2 children, James (2/12) and Jerome (3) are listedin the house. Either Jerome "came early" or is someone else's child, most likely. Based on ages, James is probably Ruthy & W.J.'s child. | Cooper, Ruth (I2085)
| In the 1860 census, George is listed as 3 years old. | Williams, George Collier (I6511)
| In the 1860 census, he is 50 years old rather than 48. Listed in his father's will, dated 4 Jan 1811 and probated March 1813. | Hill, Hume F. (I6894)
