1655 | F.P. Hudson was a noted member of the community of Dallas. His nickname was Dock, but there is no evidence that he was any sort of medical doctor. He was listed in the census as an official of the Court of Ordinary On 7 Jan 1886, F.P. Hudson was appointed guardian for Sarah C.Williams, orphan of Charles A. Williams. This is recorded in Administrations and Guardians Bonds, Book A 1885-1939, Paulding County, Georgia, p. 29. In his will, F.P. names his wife Salina Laura Hudson, his eldest daughter V.I. Matthews, and his youngest daughter Lela Etta Hudson. The will is witnessed by Robert M. Lee, J.T. Lee, and W.F. Lee. In the 1910 census, F.P. is listed as Frank P. Hudson and his occupation is bookkeeper for the ordinary court. F.P. Hudson elected to the Court of Ordinary. Bond ($1000) for him to take office 6 Nov 1896. D.L. Jones and S. Robertson, sureties. | Hudson, Benjamin Franklin Pierce (I3724)

1659 | Family news from W.H. Hudson. Refers to "Dear Uncle and Aunt" and calls them John and Cindy, so the recipients are John Wesley & Cindy Hudson. But I have not identified the author definitively. | Source (S1855)
1660 | Family tradition says she was from Indian Territory, but her death certificate and various census records all call out Tennessee as her birthplace. Having not found her in IT, I would believe Tennessee is more likely. The Indian Territory story may be a confusion with a different Fannie Cole. | Cole, Francis Elizabeth (I1990)
1661 | Familysearch reports that there exists (or existed) a Peter Bailey family Bible. In it, it says that Jane Bressie Bailey was born 3 Aug 1798 and died 2 Jun 1829, both in Mecklenburg. William B Price was born 1794 and I think I saw that he died in 1854. They had 3 children: Emily E Price, b. 20 Dec 1820, maybe in Christian County, Kentucky; William B Price, b. 24 Sep 1822, in Christian County, Kentucky; and Otway G Price, b. 28 Apr 1829 in Christian County, Kentucky. Thus far, I have not found any record of any of these folks after their marriage. I expect Jane died shortly after Otway was born. He may have died as well. Don't know about Emily. There are a lot of William Prices, so he may have survived. | Bailey, Jane Brissie (I623)
1662 | Fannie appears to have remarried after Dudley's death (around 1860, maybe). Her new husband is listed as a farmer with $1000 in personal property and $500 in real property, quite a comedown from before the war. | Bethell, Frances W. (I8119)
1663 | Fannie is listed in 1860 without Dudley as a farmer with $10000 of personal property and $30000 of real property, nearly 30x more than in 1850. | Bethell, Frances W. (I8119)
1664 | Fannie's residence at her marriage to J.W. Deshazo was Doyton, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Aged 35, this may have been a second marriage for her. | Family: Rev. John Walker Deshazo / Francis Elizabeth Cole (F1209)

1675 | Favre was a 1st cousin to Nannie and she was very fond of him. He was a retired Navy officer who never married or had a family. I have two cassettes of a conversation that Nannie, Papaw, and he had one afternoon in February of 1977. Shortly after that, he moved from Memphis to the Naval Home in Gulfport, MS. Sometimes seen as Faver. | Frazer, Favre Cason (I3005)

1677 | Fighting was the order of the day yesterday. Ed Minor and Jim Dick pulled off the first mill in which Dick carried of second honors. The smoke and carnage had hardly cleared away when John Buel and Ira Higgs mixed without serious injury to either. These mills are entertaining and broke the monotony for the bystanders, but have proven a financial failure to the principals. | Higgs, Ira Thomas (I3529)

1685 | Find A Grave says 28 Jul 1902, but the family Bible says August 1 | Wren, Willard Watson (I6767)
1686 | Find-a-grave says that her marker shows a death date of 1868, but that makes no sense. Additionally, from the picture, it could well be 1865. If it's 1865, then she died and then Laura V. Stokes married O.L a couple of months later. | Sanders, Bettie F. (I8127)
1687 | Findagrave claims Griff's real name was Griffin. Griff was named for Griff Callicut, a Baptist preacher and friend of his father. Griff took a new job as athletic director in Hattiesburg, MS in 1930, but stays only a short time, resigning in March 1931. The newspaper had no real comment on his resignation. This may have been due to his health. | Lee, Griff Calicutt (I4255)

1692 | Findagrave records her death as either 21 Aug 1920 or 21 Aug 1924. She also has findagrave memorials for Dryden Cemetery in Harmon Co., Oklahoma and in Yell County, AR. If she were in OK, then it seems she would have been with someone in her family there in 1920, but she was in AR for the 1920 census in April. | Huckaby, Eliza Lavona (I3707)
1693 | Findagrave records this as 24 Nov 1906. The newspaper calls it out at 27 Nov 1906. Funny thing is that we had always remembered that Papaw was maybe a couple of years old rather than only 6 months old when this happened. | Wren, Marion (I6732)
