1651 | Enumeration: 25001-00001. 5 slaves Based on the ages of the children involved, there appears to be an extra child enumerated as from 5-10 years old. I can only account for 4 of them. I have never heard of an extra son here, but he would have been born between 1830-1835 to be at least 5 years and no more than 10 years old. He would not have appeared in the 1820 census, so he could be a child who died young. | Bailey, Francis Baker (I602)

1681 | EUGENIA LEE OBITUARY Eugenia Humphreys Lee passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born on March 29, 1927 in Clarksville, TX to the late Samuel M. Humphreys and Mary Sudie Humphreys. She grew up in Fort Worth and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Arts and Sociology at the Texas State College for Women (now TWU). She was voted a Texas A&M Aggie Sweetheart. Eugenia worked as a draftsman for the Humble Oil Company in Houston, where she met Griff Lee. They married in 1950 and moved to New Orleans in 1954, where they both lived the rest of their lives. She volunteered at Baptist Hospital (now Ochsner Baptist) for 25 years. Eugenia was a member of the St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church and their Couples Club, where they made lifelong friends. She was also a member of the New Orleans Country Club, Orléans Club, Let's Dance Club, and PEO Chapter Q. In addition, she enjoyed tennis, bridge, dancing, skiing, and taking cruises. 1682 | Eva's identity is sort of cloudy. Family has always said that Wesley Hudson married Eva Kimball. Their marriage record records her as Eva Gillespie in 1925. In the 1920 census, Eva Gilespie is living with her father, Charles Kingwell, in Jefferson, Ouachita Co., Arkansas. The facts in that census match - age, place of birth, parents places of birth - so I believe this is her. She is listed as married, not widowed, with an 8 year old daughter Lela. So, the Lela in the 1930 census is a step-daughter to Wesley (or the reason Eva was with her parents rather than her husband). | Kingwell, Eva (I4095)
1683 | Evelyn is listed as 60 years old, from New Jersey, and divorced. | Garabrant, Evelyn (I10045)

1690 | F.P. Hudson was a noted member of the community of Dallas. His nickname was Dock, but there is no evidence that he was any sort of medical doctor. He was listed in the census as an official of the Court of Ordinary On 7 Jan 1886, F.P. Hudson was appointed guardian for Sarah C.Williams, orphan of Charles A. Williams. This is recorded in Administrations and Guardians Bonds, Book A 1885-1939, Paulding County, Georgia, p. 29. In his will, F.P. names his wife Salina Laura Hudson, his eldest daughter V.I. Matthews, and his youngest daughter Lela Etta Hudson. The will is witnessed by Robert M. Lee, J.T. Lee, and W.F. Lee. In the 1910 census, F.P. is listed as Frank P. Hudson and his occupation is bookkeeper for the ordinary court. F.P. Hudson elected to the Court of Ordinary. Bond ($1000) for him to take office 6 Nov 1896. D.L. Jones and S. Robertson, sureties. | Hudson, Benjamin Franklin Pierce (I3724)

1694 | Family news from W.H. Hudson. Refers to "Dear Uncle and Aunt" and calls them John and Cindy, so the recipients are John Wesley & Cindy Hudson. But I have not identified the author definitively. | Source (S1855)
1695 | Family tradition says she was from Indian Territory, but her death certificate and various census records all call out Tennessee as her birthplace. Having not found her in IT, I would believe Tennessee is more likely. The Indian Territory story may be a confusion with a different Fannie Cole. | Cole, Frances Elizabeth (I1990)
1696 | Familysearch reports that there exists (or existed) a Peter Bailey family Bible. In it, it says that Jane Bressie Bailey was born 3 Aug 1798 and died 2 Jun 1829, both in Mecklenburg. William B Price was born 1794 and I think I saw that he died in 1854. They had 3 children: Emily E Price, b. 20 Dec 1820, maybe in Christian County, Kentucky; William B Price, b. 24 Sep 1822, in Christian County, Kentucky; and Otway G Price, b. 28 Apr 1829 in Christian County, Kentucky. Thus far, I have not found any record of any of these folks after their marriage. I expect Jane died shortly after Otway was born. He may have died as well. Don't know about Emily. There are a lot of William Prices, so he may have survived. | Bailey, Jane Brissie (I623)
1697 | Fannie appears to have remarried after Dudley's death (around 1860, maybe). Her new husband is listed as a farmer with $1000 in personal property and $500 in real property, quite a comedown from before the war. | Bethell, Frances W. (I8119)
1698 | Fannie is listed in 1860 without Dudley as a farmer with $10000 of personal property and $30000 of real property, nearly 30x more than in 1850. | Bethell, Frances W. (I8119)
1699 | Fannie's residence at her marriage to J.W. Deshazo was Doyton, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Aged 35, this may have been a second marriage for her. | Family: Rev. John Walker Deshazo / Frances Elizabeth Cole (F1209)
