Notes:

Jane arrived in Jamestown with her mother aboard the ship Blessing asa part of the Third Supply to Jamestown. She is one of the very fewchildren to have survived the Starving Time in the winter of 1609.

In addition to her own children, she also raised Sara Maycock & Elizabeth Salter, orphans of the 1622 massacre

Notes:

William Peirce came as a part of the Third Supply to Jamestown aboardthe Sea Venture. During a hurricane on the voyage, the ship waspresumed (by the Jamestown settlers) to be lost. It was able to landin Bermuda (leading to the settlement of Bermuda), repair and buildnew ships and travel on to Jamestown the following spring.

William Peirce served as Lieutenant Governor of the Virginia Colony.

Donna Beers reports her as Cicely Fitzpen or Phippen. ConnieLampallo, in her genealogical novel shows that she was most likelyJoan Phippen rather than Cicely. But, this is still a matter fordebate. I will for the time being go with Connie Lampallo's morerecent work on this.
