    Notes:

There is a George Rigney in the 1850 census of Blount County, Alabama, but by then, Mary is not in the home, nor is any wife.

In 1870, it appears that George is again alone in the household of a Francis & Rebecca Bryant, a young couple. I would suspect he is a lodger rather than a family member.

    Birth:
The 1840 census shows a male age 40-50 in home. George is head of household, so this is presumably him.

    Census:
    Enumeration: 1010001-01001
    1 white male under 5
    1 white male 10-15
    1 white male 40-50
    1 white female 5-10
    1 white female 20-30
    1 slave female 24-36

    Census:
appears as a single man in his father-in-law's household.

George married Mary B. Council on 2 Aug 1827 in Knox, Tennessee, United States. Mary (daughter of Isaac Council and Susan M. Allison) was born about 1810 in Tennessee, United States; died in 1864 in Texas, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
