Sarah Baker
- Aft 18301. Sarah Baker was born in Mecklenburg, Virginia, United States (daughter of Zachariah Baker and Jane Bressie); died after 1830 in Tennessee, United States. Other Events and Attributes:

- _FSFTID: LC1D-8B9
- _UID: 6BE45E671163471F9B485C68B4E370F995A7
- Misc: 29 Mar 1773, Mecklenburg, Virginia, United States; mentioned in her father's will
- Misc: 24 Mar 1794, Mecklenburg, Virginia, United States; mentioned in her mother's will
Notes:
Somewhere a death date of 23 Jan 1822 was attached to Sarah, along with a place of Virginia.
However she is listed in a deed in 1830 selling land with Peter. I suspect she moved with him to Tennessee. However, I also believe she died before he did.
Misc:
By his will, Zachariah gives three slaves to Sarah - Sarah, Bob, Rachel
Misc:
bequeathed one feather bed and furniture and trunk (her grandmothers), three negroes - Frank, Chenee, Sooky
Died:
I am not sure where this death date came from. But, in litigation against Peter in the 1830s, Sarah is mentioned over and over as a plaintiff. I believe that she was certainly alive into the mid-1830s. This needs to be detailed out.
In particular, deeds made in 1830 (Deed book 24, Mecklenburg County, p. 108) Peter Bailey and Sarah his wife sell land.
By the 1840 census, it appears that Peter is living with Elizabeth M.A. Bailey and her husband, but there is no older woman in the home. So, if this is Peter, then Sarah isn't there and has probably died.Sarah married Peter Cock Bailey on 27 Aug 1792 in Mecklenburg, Virginia, United States. Peter (son of Roger Cock Bailey and Mary Rennard) was born on 9 Oct 1765 in Henrico, Virginia, United States; died in 1844 in Hopkins, Kentucky, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
