A Vickers cemetery is reported to have been west of Ringold, LA. The cemetery is now over grown & no attempt was made to search it. A Librarian at Ringold, LA said she had been to it at one time. A search of Hempstead Co., AR cemeteries was made with no results. His sister Eliza Vickers Snell is buried at cemetery in Emmet, AR,SE of HWY 67.

The November Term of Court of Thomas Co GA James Vickers was trustee for this action in his wife's name. Records show each party was well to do in their right. Birth:
Some sources say that Hardy Nixon Vickers was born in North Carolina and moved to Georgia at an early age. Other sources say he was born in Georgia. I am tempted to believe that he was born in North Carolina only because of the extensive migration into newly opened areas of northeast Georgia around that time.
Name:
Some researchers, including Betty Wren, have suggested that Hardy Vickers had a middle name, Nixon. I am less inclined to believe this at present, since this was actually a name in his wife's family rather than his.

Probate:
Probate was opened 27 Nov 1833. It would take 25 years to complete. The probate file exceeds 220 pages.
James J. Vickers, Sarah Hart, and Wm. W. Hart are listed as executors.
One early document is an inventory account dated 1833 that starts 11 Feb 1833. This would hint that Hardy died prior to this. Then, there is an accounting that is dated 1832 that includes dates throughout that year as well.
But there are signed receipts from 1833 by Hardy Vickers. So, maybe the accounting is a list of debts and tabs with vendors that were open.
