579 Albert is listed as a widower, age 27. Susan is single and 26. The marriage was witnessed by "The family & friends of the Bride and a large company at 309 3rd St, NY" Family: Albert L. Blowers / Susan Jane Ward (F2572)

581 Alexander is taxed for 1 poll, so he is at least 18 years old. Vincent, Alexander A. (I6262)

582 Alfred and Nancy are recorded as Alfred and Nancy Huckleberry

Strangely, Alfred & Nancy are enumerated twice on the same day twice on the same page. It almost looks like the first on was scratched out and recrded a second time. In the second instance, there is a mary Gray in the house with a daughter Etta E Gray and maybe another sister Jane Gray. Next door is an Andrew Gray that does not necessarily fit into that family.
Huckaby, Alfred (I3706)

583 Alfred claims to be 55 years old, when he's more like 60. Family: Alfred Huckaby / Sarah A. (F3675)

584 Alfred Huckaby may have sold all of his property by 1886. His second wife had her estate in probate with no mention at all of him in any way. That indicated that he must have pre-deceased her. But, to date, no record of his death has been found.

There is a grave stone in Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas for an A. Huckaby, b 1822, d 1898. But there are also many Huckaby families in Washington County. This is 100 miles away with no good reason for this to be his grave. Moreover, there is a short obituary that says he wife had recently died. Alfred's wife died in 1888, ten years previous. I can find no reason to believe the Springdale grave is his.
Huckaby, Alfred (I3706)

585 Alfred purchased land in Tuscaloosa county in 1848.

586 Alfred R. Brochu Sr.

A graveside service for Alfred Robert Brochu Sr., 64, of Lake of the Woods will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove.

Mr. Brochu died Wednesday, Jan. 20, at his home. Born in Uxbridge, Mass., he had retired after 20 years in the Navy. He was also an electronics engineer.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Wren Brochu; three sons, Alfred Robert Brochu Jr. of Virginia Beach, John Russell Brochu of Lake of the Woods and William Townsend Brochu of Springfield; three daughters, Nancy Brochu Domedion of Herndon, Robin G. Brochu Prausa of Centreville and Shawn Shaffer of Warrenton; a brother Norman Brochu; a sister Rita Brochu Hitching of Groton, Conn., 13 grandchildren, six nieces and four nephews.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice Support Care, 1616 Stafford Ave., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.

Brochu, Alfred Robert Sr. (I10039)

587 Alfred seems awfully old so I am somewhat skeptical of his birth date. This must have been a second marriage for him since he was nearly 50when he married. Also, he continues to father children until he isnearly 70. Daniel, Alfred (I2324)

588 Alfred's farm is small in 1850 - 2 cows, 7 pigs, total value of $35.
The line immediately above is Jacob Sartain.
Sartain, Alfred M. (I5458)

589 Alice was beaten to death by her husband, Jack. He was arrested and found guilty, but I have not found a sentence for the case. Ritchie, Alice Morrison (I9424)

590 All of her estate is given to her adopted daughter Mary.

Since there is no mention of Alfred, he may have already died.
Sarah A. (I9622)

591 All of the children are listed as born in Miss. So, it kind of looks like they moved to Miss and back to AR. Then, possibly, they moved back to MS since he is buried in MS.

He is next door to his brother Ira Alonzo
Huckaby, Fernando Cortes (I3708)

592 All personal estate given to his wife Sarah for her natural life..

593 All personal property and income from real estate and so much of the real estate as may be necessary for his support and comfort during his life to Asaph T. Peterson, her husband. Whatever is left to be divided between the children.

Oldest son, Asaph, appointed to take charge of the property and to be executor.

After the death of Asaph T, the property was sold 18 May 1863. Advertised in the Old Colony Memorial newspaper.

596 Allison, R.M.
Kingston East Tennessean: Mr. R. M. Allison, after three or four weeks illness, died Tuesday last about one o'clock.  Decesased was 79 years of age, and had been an old and respected citizen of Kingston.  "Pencillettes", Knoxville Daily Chronicle, Saturday, 18 Oct 1879

597 ALMA - August 3 - The Democrats of this place organized a club yesterday with a membership of 180, with J.E. London, President; J.W. Higgs and W.R. Bolling, Vice-Presidents; ... The name of the club is Lewars Democratic Club, in honor of our nominee for Circuit Clerk, Hon. H.S. Lewars, who is a citizen of Alma. The Democracy of Crawford County were never in better shape to make a campaign, and will win at the September election by a handsome majority. Higgs, John William (I3534)

598 Almost every state exchange we pick up contains one or more notices of this character which we clip from the Prescott Picayune. They are unmistakable evidences that the Democrat is the people's paper: "Dr. A.D. Wren. a practical farmer, and one of the most prominent physicians in Albany Township, favored us with a call Thursday, and left the cash for the Picayune and the Arkansas Weekly Democrat.", Wren, Alonzo Dossey (I6659)

599 Also called Edwood in some sources.

In the Francis Bailey family record of 1863, he is listed as Edward Leeth Bailey
Bailey, Edward Leeth (I591)

600 Also have seen 1868, but his gravestone says 1866 Scott, Junius W. (I5493)
